A superb encounter for the young French saxophonist, leading this date with three venerable masters of the genre. The album was recorded in New York in 2009 and originally released in France on Marge but now sees a proper international release. Grimal, playing more accessibly (though hardly mainstream) than on her other recordings, composed or co-composed nine of the 15 tracks and the excellent sound provides a rewarding listening experience.
